š A New Year, A New Intention: Valuing Time Over Everything
As I step into a new year, I choose not to dwell on the gains and losses of 2019. Thereās a truth Iāve come to embraceālaziness and depression are deeply connected, tied together in a proportional relationship. When one increases, so does the other. Thatās why my sole resolution for 2020 is simple yet powerful:
āI will not waste time in idleness. I will not let loneliness and inactivity take root.ā
By valuing my time, I believe I can avoid the depths of despair that often accompany an unproductive mind. This year, I intend to reduce my use of social media and smartphones, and distance myself from things that serve no purpose in my life.
š± The Power of Small Achievements
Over time, I've realizedāno achievement is ever too small. Some of the most meaningful turning points in my life have come from tiny, seemingly insignificant wins. These small victories often paved the way for bigger ones.
Looking back over the past decade, I now understand something profound: the events I couldnāt control often worked out for the best, even when I didnāt see it at the time. And the things I truly, deeply desiredāwhether consciously or notāfound a way into my life.
šÆ The Wisdom of Choosing What Matters
One thing has become crystal clear to me: we canāt do everything. We donāt need to. Itās not about having it all; itās about knowing what truly mattersĀ and focusing on that.
We are here for a limited time. None of us knows how many days we have left. Thatās why we must ask ourselves:
What is truly important in my life?
Why does it matter to me?
We canāt become experts in everything. But we can become excellent at what aligns with our purposeāif we identify it early and dedicate ourselves fully.
⨠A Toast to the New Year
To everyone reading this, I offer my warmest wishes:
May 2020 be a year of clarity, purpose, and the fulfillment of what truly matters to you.Letās waste no more time.
Happy New Year 2020.
